Y-5B

Manufacturer: Shijiazhuang Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd.

The Y-5B is a Chinese manufactured, improved version of the Russian AN2, a biplane with excellent low level and slow speed flying performance. It is capable of taking off from, and landing on grasslands and roughly prepared runways. Its large compartment is able to carry a 1500kg payload.

The Y-5B is well suited for short haul passenger/cargo service. The passenger cabin has seating for 12 people and there is room for luggage, stowage and lavatory. The dual pilot flying system also makes the Y-5B ideal for flight training. Other uses for the Y-5B include parachute jumping, agriculture, and forestry services.
